The Ferns is our family home,
having considerable character and set in an acre of woodland in a secluded but
central part of Eskdale Green. We are ideally situated in the Western part of
the Lake District for a quiet and relaxing break or as a centre for fell
walking or other activities.
Our guest bedrooms are spacious, having
hospitality trays, colour TV and with bathrooms situated closeby. All rooms are
centrally heated and log fires warm our winter guests in the residents lounge.
Ample parking is available along with a secure area for storing bicycles and
guests are free to roam the gardens. We have drying facilities for clothing and
walking boots.

Our breakfasts are cooked
fresh to order using only the best of local produce. Packed lunches to suit all
tastes are provided and special diet or vegetarian requirements can be easily
accommodated especially with advance notice.
We do not offer an evening
meal, however our local pubs - King George IV and Bower House are a pleasant 10
minute walk away and serve excellent and modestly priced meals in the bar or
superb specialities in the restaurant. Both provide several real ales and a
plentiful stock of single malt whiskies. Alternatively there are many other
places serving good food within a 10 minute drive.
